Google has struggled to appeal to gamers with its game streaming service, but has made strides to live up to the expectations surrounding it. Stadia has finally delivered on the promise of supporting 4K on PC, which was supposed to be available on its release. With only one exclusive game to the service, Google has tried to find other ways to draw in gamers, including having exclusive content in previously released games....
It would appear that Square Enix hasn’t finished their Final Fantasy-related surprises, either. In an announcement video today, Square Enix revealed that Final Fantasy V would be coming to PC, with some visual updates. Rather than a complete remake, the Final Fantasy V PC version is essentially an optimized version of the mobile phone port from 2013, complete with significant changes made to the game’s appearance. Kazuko Shibuya, who worked on the original Final Fantasy V, was brought in to make adjustments to the character sprites and overall art style....

Final Fantasy 7 on Switch, and possibly on Xbox One as well, has a game-breaking bug originally discovered in the PC release. The bug occurs a few hours into the game, making it impossible for players to enter Shinra HQ because a character doesn’t appear when they’re supposed to. PC players that run into this Final Fantasy 7 bug can download some things to fix their save file, but those playing on Switch are out of luck....
Final Fantasy VIII Remastered is set to release on the on September 3rd of this year. Players will be able to check it out on the PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch, or the Xbox One. As with other Final Fantasy remasters and ports, players will be able to toggle on special effects that can make the game significantly easier. Speeding up the game, turning off random encounters, and boosts to HP, ATB gauge and limit breaks will all be available....
