One of the goals of Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be to further explore the stories of these three side characters, who veteran players will recall are members of the AVALANCHE group. The Final Fantasy 7 Remake PlayStation Experience 2015 trailer confirmed that they would be appearing in the game, and also revealed their updated looks, but how their stories will be expanded upon remains to be seen. This will likely come through some changes to Final Fantasy 7’s plot, in order to give the trio more important roles....

Many of the later games of the Final Fantasy series, including Final Fantasy 15, will be available on the Xbox Games Pass next year. This is in addition to the other big Square news that the entirety of the Kingdom Hearts series will be making its way to Xbox. A new YouTube video on Square Enix’s account page reveals that the studio isn’t done with trying to drum up excitement around the game. The video, entitled “Carbuncle’s Surprise”, details that anyone who preorders Final Fantasy 15 will have a chance to win exclusive Final Fantasy themed physical and digital prizes. The video announcing the contest details, which starts August 1st, states new winners will be selected each Friday until the game’s release on September 30th....

More surprising was the second trailer for Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes shown earlier this month, which introduced plenty of returning and new characters. More specifically, the fact that Three Houses protagonist Byleth wouldn’t be a playable character, choosing to remain a mercenary instead of becoming a professor. This seemingly puts Byleth in a new antagonist role, with a new player character known as “Shez” taking up the reigns as protagonist....

Tom Hill, a former assistant athletic director who was fired amid the scandal, is suing the law firm that investigated the school’s response to the assault allegations. In a lawsuit filed Tuesday in McLennan County District Court in Waco, Texas, Hill accuses Philadelphia law firm Pepper Hamilton of negligence and defamation. This much was revealed by way of a brand new trailer confirming Final Fantasy 15’s Noctis as being a part of the third round of downloadable content for the fighting game, and the character is coming to Tekken 7 along with a variety of extra features. As seen below, Noctis will have at least five different outfit options of Casual Outfit, Royal Raiment, Choco-Mog Style, Fighting King’s Raiment, and Kingly Raiment....

Final Fantasy 16 was revealed with a stunning debut trailer that mixed both in-engine cinematics and what looked to be either simulated or live gameplay. Much like Final Fantasy 15, the game’s story seemed to focus on a royal family in a fantasy-type setting. This won’t come as a surprise to many fans, as a PC version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake has been mentioned in multiple leaks in the last few months, most recently in a Nvidia GeForce Now leak from last month. By now, it’s become less a question of if a non-PlayStation version was coming, and more when it was finally going to be revealed, as well as when fans will be able to get their hands on it....
