As with many of its gacha game contemporaries, limited-time seasonal units are a big moneymaking draw for Fire Emblem Heroes. Every year, holidays like Halloween and New Year’s are celebrated in Heroes’ primary setting of Askr, with often-powerful alternate forms of units to match. This year’s winter holiday units were announced last night, featuring characters from Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, and the newest release Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

Sephiran from Path of Radiance is an armored, colorless staff unit with an AOE healing effect for allies, whereas Radiant Dawn’s Altina is a sword-wielding Harmonized Hero alongside Path of Radiance’s Sanaki (meaning they can cast a buff for characters from both titles once per battle). From Three Houses comes holiday-themed variants of fan-favorite characters Bernadetta and Hilda, joining other pre-time skip versions of themselves in Fire Emblem Heroes.
The 2020 holiday-themed summoning event, called A Festive Miracle, will begin tonight at 11:00 p.m. PT, and last until January 16, 2021. Fans of Three Houses can also receive a special variant of Blue Lions representative Felix as part of an upcoming Tempest Trials+ event, though a standard version of the character is not currently available.
Fire Emblem Heroes is available now on Android and iOS devices.
