Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 1 is available at Walmart for $49.94, which is 17% cheaper than its current list price of $59.99. It’s worth noting that the game’s price continues to fluctuate, but Walmart’s deal is currently the cheapest available right now. Shortly after the game’s release last April, Final Fantasy 7 Remake received mostly positive reviews from players and critics due to its faithfulness to the original game while adding new elements to keep the experience fresh even for veteran players.

Additionally, the game also performed well in terms of sales. Just a few days after its launch in April, Square Enix was happy to announce that Final Fantasy 7 Remake was able to ship over 3.5 million copies in just under three days, which is definitely an impressive milestone. Of course, it is no secret that the majority of the game’s success can be attributed to nostalgia, especially since Final Fantasy 7 is one of the most beloved entries in the franchise.

Meanwhile, Square Enix announced several days ago that Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be getting a new soundtrack release this December. The announcement was made by the official Square Enix Music account, which detailed everything players should expect, including what the new edition adds. Overall, the soundtrack will feature a ton of unreleased tracks that were present in the remake of the 1997 classic game. The soundtrack will contain 4 CDs in total and will include all background music tracks, cutscenes, and additional features that were not found in the original release of the soundtrack. The Final Fantasy 7 Remake Plus Edition Soundtrack is set to release on December 23 in Japan. All music was scored by Nobuo Uematsu and Masashi Hamauzu.
